A Timestamp Camera alternative for job proof
Timestamp Camera, by Bian Di, is a popular Android camera that prints the date, time and location on photos and video as you take them. It is well rated and does that job well. JobProof is for when you need more than a stamp: a job, a crew and a client link.
How the two compare
Timestamp Camera is a camera with a stamp. JobProof is a job tool with a camera. The details below come from its Google Play listing.

Timestamp Camera details come from its own page, checked 4 November 2026. Prices change, so confirm them there. "Not listed" means we could not find it on that page, not that it is missing from the product.
Why people look for an alternative
Most reviews are positive: it is rated 4.6 out of 5 from over 430,000 reviews on Google Play, with more than 50 million downloads. The few complaints we read were small ones, such as blurry zoomed photos and the video button sitting too close to the shutter.
The usual reason to look elsewhere is not quality. It is that a stamped photo on one person's phone is not a job record the office or the client can see.
What JobProof does differently
- A crew member sees only their jobs, in big numbered steps, in their own language.
- A job can't be marked complete until an After photo is in.
- The client gets one link with your logo and a before and after slider, with no login.
- JobProof does not stamp the photo. It records who took each photo, when, and where the job was started. Our free timestamp tool can add the date and time, and coordinates if the photo has them, to photos you already took, all in your browser.
A stamp or a pair?
A stamp answers where and when. A before and after pair answers what changed. For a cleaner, painter or detailer, the client usually cares more about the second question. For a damage record or a site survey, the first matters more.
You can have both. Take the photos in JobProof, and if a client or insurer wants the date printed on them, run them through the free timestamp tool afterwards. Nothing is uploaded.
When Timestamp Camera is the better choice
If you need the time printed on video, or a stamp in a font and position you choose, Timestamp Camera does it and JobProof does not. For one person recording their own work, it may be all you need.
Questions
Does JobProof record video?
No. JobProof is for photos only.
Can I stamp photos I have already taken?
Yes, with our free timestamp tool. It works in your browser, and it adds GPS coordinates only if the photo already has them.
Will my client see a stamp in JobProof?
No. Clients see clean photos in a before and after slider, with your logo at the top of the link and buttons to call you or leave a review.
Does JobProof record GPS?
It saves the phone's location once, when a job is started, if the crew member allows it. It does not track anyone during the day, and it does not put coordinates on the image.
